Our initiatives represent a radical commitment to "living in truth" within our political community. We reject the comfort of apathy in favor of a vibrant, uncompromising dialogue that restores the human dimension to the public square.
Our Flagship Initiatives and Project 2026 are designed as more than mere administrative goals; they are an invitation to exercise the "power of the powerless" through collective engagement and the courage of shared inquiry. By fostering a sanctuary for authentic encounter, we aim to move beyond the "automatism" of the status quo and build a community rooted in mutual responsibility.
Living in an ideal, functioning society depends on what we're willing to do to create those ideals — we can start by having a simple conversation. In an era where young people feel lonelier and more disconnected than ever, learning how to communicate with one another productively is the perfect starting point.
Dangerous Ideas is a program to create spaces for important community convos and think about what’s next for Canada and beyond! They are the primary mechanism for Creating a Culture of Democracy on the ground.
The Format: Held in spaces where students are. For example, Winter Garden and more to follow in the events calendar. Food will be available.
The Doctrine: Moderated by executives to ensure that while "Hard Truths" are allowed, "Personal Attacks" are banned.
The Subject Matter: We will confront the most contentious issues facing our generation, from the future of Gen Z to the shifting narratives of Canadian identity and the governance of Northern BC.
Following the tradition, we will convene a high-level assembly of regional power brokers—including federal MPs, provincial MLAs, the City Council of Prince George, and the leadership of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation. This event is more than networking for both guests and student participants. This is a space where students directly engage with political and institutional executives.
